How Long Do Mosquitos Live?

Mosquitoes have a relatively long lifespan, living anywhere from a few days to several months.

Mosquitoes can survive for up to several months, but their life expectancy varies. Mosquito lifespan largely depends on the species, the climate, and the food availability in that area. In temperate climates, for example, mosquitoes can live 30-50 days in cool water and about 3-10 days in warm water.

Mosquitoes are an important part of the ecosystem as they serve as prey for other insects, such as dragonflies and fish. They also provide food for birds when they take blood nectar from flowers or feed off of dead animals on which they lay their eggs.
